Services

  • Initial Consultation

All new clients will have a free 25 minute consultation via phone or video call. During this time, we will discuss your concerns, answer your questions, and determine if an evaluation is necessary. If services are for your child, a portion of the call may be used to interact with and get to know your child. This will assist in deciding what assessment measures will be used for the initial evaluation.

  • Evaluation

Evaluation includes standardized/non-standardized testing, interpretation of results, professional report with test findings, as well as recommendations and goals. The total initial evaluation fee is dependent upon the extent of testing needed. Please note: An evaluation is required in order to begin therapy services. If a professional speech-language evaluation has been completed within the past 12 months, some testing may be waived. This will be discussed during your initial consultation call. If a client continues attending therapy for 12 months or more, a re-evaluation may be completed on a yearly basis.

  • Therapy Session

This is the time when we work directly on improving speech/language skills. Therapy activities are interactive, engaging, and fun so that the most progress is made. Therapy sessions typically include direct interactions with the child/client. However, a parent coaching model may be utilized in some cases (e.g. children age 3 and under, AAC users). 1-2 sessions per week is typically recommended. Home practice activities and resources may also be provided on a weekly or bi-weekly basis in order to increase progress and carry over of skills into the home setting.

  • Consultations after therapy begins

This service is for parents/guardians of children who are currently receiving speech-language therapy services through Lines of Communication Therapy, PLLC. Consultations are occasionally requested by parents or caregivers to discuss their child’s needs. Phone/video consultations that occur for longer than 15 minutes will incur a charge. Consultations that occur for 15 minutes or less are free of charge.
